In Arise Academy, there are a number of benchmarks that parents and teachers visit and look for through a child’s time in Pre-K and Kindergarten. We often hear that students are happy to go to school each day.
Beginning with our youngest Pre-K students, you can see them dash into the school from the bus or their parents’ car, accompanied by their oversized backpacks and an excitement to learn.
Listed below are a few elements that are infused into the program at Arise Academy:
Promoting Public Speaking
In Arise Academy, teachers consider in promoting public speaking skills early. We value a child’s time in Pre-K and Kindergarten. There are quite a few opportunities for our little students to stand before their peers and established their confidence, eye contact, volume, and overall relaxation with speaking in front of others.
Educating the Value of Friendship
Friendship is at the center of learning in our Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms. We spend a lot of time speaking about the importance of friendship and what it means to be a compassionate person. From the books we read to the games we play to the lessons we understand, kindness takes center stage.
Educating the value of compassion and friendship builds important social-emotional skills, helps kids develop a feeling of belonging and a feeling of place, and increases happiness and confidence.
